Dear Freshers,
I am delighted that you are thinking of studying at Sree Sevugan Annamalai College which is unique in a sense that it offers fair and almost free education to the deprived. It is keeping intact the vision of Late Sri O. RM. M. SP. SV. AN. Annamalai Chettiar, our great late founder, that the economically weaker section of our society should light their home with the knowledge derived from higher education almost free of cost.
We promise that, if you do decide to join us, we will do everything we can to ensure that your time here is not only successful, but also enjoyable. We offer variety of courses to inspire you to achieve and find the right career. Last year 1,000’s of students chose to study with us on 16 different courses. We have excellent facilities like semi automated library and laboratory for literature, humanities and sciences. Our staff are qualified and have proven track records in their respective fields.
Students enjoy a wide range of amenities at the College, including IGNOU resource centre, which offer state-of-the-art of add on courses and library services, and healthcare provision. We have substantially transformed our campus in the past few years with new infrastructures like class rooms, internet, and research canters’.
A Performance Theatre for drama and dance is to be opened shortly. We plan to introduce technology building, including workshops, musical instrument training, electronics labs, CAD offices and more in the years to come.We are one of the finest college working on latest multi-disciplinary field like Nanotechnology, and Biotechnology and we expect this project to have a significant and positive impact on our continuing ability to deliver training to local students extensively. Research students come to us from all over the country; they are from many different social and ethnic backgrounds and are of all ages.

1. Get a qualification after each year of study-by add on courses from DDE, Alagappa University or IGNOU. At the end of each year of study you take home an industry recognised qualification, so our higher education provision allow you to work your way towards a degree, gaining qualifications on the way.Offering great value for money, supports to chose your courses, giving you flexible access to higher education by flexible remittance backed by the cooperative stores. The world’s biggest Distance Education University IGNOU study centre is functioning in our college.
2. High quality teaching and learning We pride ourselves on our exceptional teaching and learning and you can be assured that what you learn with us will prepare you for successful employment and the demands of industry. The Quality Assurance Agency responsible for inspecting colleges NAAC Peer team visited our college during April 3-5, 2014 and granted ‘B’ Grade with CGPA 2.6 out of 4.0.
Our teaching staff come from a variety of professions and academic backgrounds, so you will be exposed to a range of teaching styles, making your learning a fun and varied experience. Our staff play a major role in your educational experience and are dedicated to making sure that your learning is exciting, relevant and rewarding. In addition, we regularly invite guest speakers to facilitate your learning and industry visits often form part of the curriculum.
3. Career guidance and student services
A dedicated higher education institution should give a wide range of accessible co-curricular services like NSS, NCC, WUS, YWS, Career Guidance , Career Counselling, etc and all the resources you will need to succeed are accessible.

We collaborate with many universities such as Alagappa University, Pondicherry University, Kalasalingam University, Saveetha University, and BS Abdur Rahman University. Our teachers interact with faculties of worlds’ premier universities like Nanyang Technical University, (Singapore), National Chang-Hua University of Education(Taiwan), Donkkuk University(South Korea), University of New Mexico(Mexico) etc.. Teacher and Staff Association ensure high academic standards so our provision can hold its own against other Higher Education providers all over the state.
5. Student Services Of course you also benefit from the support systems in place at our college. We also offer extensive support to learners with additional needs and disabled Higher Education students with scholarships and aids.
